This chine-collé print titled Banana on a cutting mat is one of Georgie's ventures back into intaglio printing. It incorporates a monoprint on bright yellow paper which was subsequently rice pasted and fed through the press with the inked up drypoint perspex plate. The print came from an evening of experimentation with imagery that she reminisced over from her university years. "It reminds me of those times when I worked flat out on a graphic design project, where energy was needed at arm's length for when you start flagging, my workspace would always feature a cutting mat and a banana among other things. This print to me pays homage to how far a bit of grafting can get you but to anyone else viewing it, it's just a vibrant banana on a geometric background which is kinda cool anyway". The print was displayed publicly in Crescent Art's "Made to Measure" exhibition which celebrated 40 years of the centre for arts, of which Georgie is a member.
